SD-RAN simulator - frontend

The SD-RAN simulator emulates UEs and base-stations. It exposes the E2 interface which can be used to test the SD-RAN RIC (RAN Intelligent Controller).

The SD-RAN simulator has a front-end and a backend component. This story tracks the development of the frontend.

The frontend emulates the real world of UEs connected to base-stations. It serves two purposes:

1) Provides a visual representation of the real world of how mobile UEs connected to base-stations. One implementation option being investigated is Google Maps.

2) Reports mobility information to the back-end, specifically the signal strength (CQI -channel quality index) that each UE is experiencing for the serving and 2 candidate base-stations. The CQI is time-varying since the UE is mobile.
