There is a need to be able to report attributes of the components which are specific to the component. As has been agree in the DMI Brigade meeting a common (https://docs.google.com/document/d/16CIUUWGfYv9UGT4LxXuHHDvu1q9J4PYowlpijqL27F4/edit# - Meeting 12/17)
As part of this story the following need to be updated:
- COMPONENT_TYPE_PORT should have the following attributes:
○ form_factor with possible values of RJ45, FIBER_LC, FIBER_SC_PC, FIBER_MPO
○ speed with possible values of 1G, 10G, 100G, 400G, 2.5G, DYNAMIC
○ protocol with possible values of ETHERNET, GPON, XGPON, XGSPON, G-FAST, SERIAL - COMPONENT_TYPE_PORT might (optional) have an attribute phyiscal_label (string)
- COMPONENT_TYPE_CONTAINER should have an attribute physical_label (string)
- Hardware should contain an attribute last_boot_time
- TRANSCEIVER type of components should have an attribute type with possible values SFP_PLUS,SFP, QSFP28, QSFP_PLUS, CSFP
- TRANSCEIVER type of components should contain PORT components
- Introduce in DMI , supported_voltage as a PSU component specific attribute with possible values of 115V, 48V, 230V to start with
Introduce documentation saying that the model-name of a component can be used to carry the manufacturer part number as well. Along with the definition of this attribute as in RFC 8348, implementations could choose to carry the manufacturer part number in this attribute.
