voltha-onos sanity job can't properly load ONOS image to test

The verification job for VOLTHA-ONOS images is broken. the image gets loaded into the kind Kubernetes worker nodes but it does not get properly picked up by the kind-voltha script and the helm chart command called internally. This is because the new enos-classic helm chart uses a different value passing parameters as seen here:
