      Description

The Standardized Ranges of TC Layer attributes are as defined below:
      G.983.3 : ONU-ID 0-253, Alloc-ID 256 – 4095, GEM : 254 – 4095
      G.9807.1 : ONU-ID 0-1020, Alloc-ID 1024 – 16383, XGEM : 1021 – 65534
      G.989.3 :  ONU-ID 0-1020, Alloc-ID 1024 – 16383, XGEM : 1021 – 65534

Current generation of Resource Manager supports OLT Global Pools of Alloc-ID and GEM-Port IDs defaulted as below:

Current Resource Manager Resource Pool Implementation
      ONU-ID : 1-127, (Per PON Port)
      Alloc-ID : 1024 – 2816, (Per Device)
      XGEM : 1024 – 8960 (Per Device)

In order to supported different ITU PON technologies within the same OLT/Device it is required that Resource Manager allows per PON Port Resource Pool Initialization. A User should be able to override the current default implementation and select each OLT Global resource as being Per Port Managed and initialized.
The outcome of this feature is that the Alloc-IDs and GEM Port-IDs can be duplicated across PON Ports and PON Technologies without Error. Also different Ranges per Individual Port can be supported.
