Because VOLTHA uses the upper bits of the DPID to identify the vcore which controls the OLT and it is not predictable which vcore to which an OLT will connect, the DPID of an OLT is not predictable. After completion of VOL-493, the lower 48 bits of the DPID will be predictable.
ONOS needs to be modified so that you can specify access device information using a partial DPID as well as changed to that you can search, find access device configuration based on partial DPID.
