      • This AMI construction job installs packer v1.6.5.

      https://github.com/hashicorp/packer/releases

      • Version 1.10.3 and v1.11.0-beta are available

       

      Packer should be upgraded which will allow JJB/packer version to be updated as well.

      One packer version update was invasive, config files have changed from json & yaml to HCL.

      A conversion script will need to be written to update configs as part of the packer upgrade.
